    Best Communication Effort for our multimedia campaign around online privacy. The campaign featured an animated video, magazine package and facilitation guide on social media privacy and reputation management.

    This award recognizes individuals or Greek groups that are truly elevating the Greek Movement. ZTA is being honored for its participation in and use of the University Learning Outcomes Assessment (UniLOA). ZTA is the only fraternity for women and one of five total Greek groups using the assessment with its entire membership.
      North American Interfraternity Conference Foundation Award
    Best Use of a Foundation Grant for Advisor Academies
    During the 2009-2010 school year, the three academies trained 131 alumnae who volunteer as collegiate chapter advisors in organizational and financial management, teamwork, communication, risk reduction and leadership development. The academies were held at the ZTA chapter houses at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.; Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.; and Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.
      North American Interfraternity Conference Foundation Award
    Best Campaign or Program in Support of an Outside Philanthropy for the Zeta Tau Alpha Award for Innovation in Campus Hazing Prevention
    ZTA has made a five-year commitment to this award, donating $10,000 each year to a school that conducts innovative, effective and comprehensive hazing prevention programming. Florida State University was the first recipient of the award in 2010.

    Since fall 2006, Zeta Tau has required all of its collegiate members to complete and pass AlcoholEdu® for College, an online alcohol prevention program, or GreekLifeEduTM, a program focusing on three core subject areas: alcohol, hazing and sexual assault.

    The Public Relations/Best Public Relations Effort- for the ZTA Foundation’s 10th Anniversary THINK-PINK® celebration with the Washington Redskins.

    In October 2008, in order to recognize ZTA’s 10th year of involvement with the football team, over 200 ZTA volunteers distributed 42,000 pink ribbons to fans. Members of the Redskins family wore special ZTA Think Pink T-shirts, all stadium employees wore ZTA pink ribbons, and the Fraternity was honored on the stadium’s Jumbotron and on Redskins TV online.

    Donor Education/Relations- Best CD/DVD/Video for ZTA’s 2008 Philanthropy Party video

    This video was shown at 80 percent of ZTA recruitments across the country and featured still and live video to give potential new members a glimpse of the Fraternity’s relationships with Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Yoplait®, SELF magazine, the National Football League and numerous other breast cancer awareness and education partners.
      North American Interfraternity Conference Foundation Award of Distinction
    Best Campaign/Program in Support of an Outside Philanthropy for ZTA’s involvement in the SELF Challenge
    To promote the SELF Challenge, the ZTA Foundation featured it on the ZTA Web site and through weekly e-mail blasts that included healthy lifestyle tips. ZTA also developed an official ZTA SELF Challenge Facebook page where members had the opportunity to share their experiences with the Challenge.

    The My Sister, My Responsibility program teaches and empowers chapter members to prevent and confront hazing and other destructive behaviors while reinforcing friendship and sisterhood.

    This award recognizes exceptional leadership programs and initiatives. ZTA’s My Sister, My Responsibility program educates members about hazing and the negative impact it can have on individuals, chapters, and the organization as a whole.

    In the spring 2008 Issue of Themis, the magazine paints a picture of what it was like for members of Beta Omega Chapter (Union University) to survive and move on from a tornado that destroyed much of the campus.

    Donor Education/Relations- Best Donor Newsletter for the ZTA Foundation’s Fall Newsletter

    The 2007 ZTA Foundation Fall Newsletter updated alumnae on the developments and accomplishments made throughout the year. The newsletter reached approximately 90,000 members. This large annual mailing also provided an opportunity to cultivate new donors.

    First-place, Publications Improvement for the Zeta Is Forever New Member Workbook
    In fall 2007, ZTA sent its revised Zeta Is Forever New Member Workbook to its chapters. Unlike the previous version, the new edition featured innovative design that included contemporary themes such as text messages and Zoogle (playing off the Internet search engine, Google).

    In the spring 2007 issue of Themis, readers were told about two Zetas, sisters-in-law who assist with local bereavement luncheons in Denton, Texas.

    Honorable Mention, Multimedia Presentation for the Zeta Is Forever New Member DVD

    As a supplement to the Zeta Is Forever New Member Workbook, an informational DVD was created to further inform new members about the organization. Narrated by ESPN reporter and ZTA alumna Erin Andrews (Gamma Iota Chapter, University of Florida) the DVD offers a new way to learn about ZTA.

    Best Public Relations Effort for ZTA’s New Member Parent Mailing

    In the fall, the ZTA Foundation sent a mailing to all parents of current and new collegiate Zetas to inform them about AlcoholEdu® for College, a Web-based alcohol abuse prevention program that ZTA required every collegiate member to complete in order to help members make informed decisions regarding alcohol use. This mailing was also sent to all University Presidents and Greek advisors to inform them of Zeta Tau Alpha’s involvement in the program.
