All Zetas eagerly look forward to the presentation of awards during Zeta Day, Convention and National Leadership Conference. Chapters and individuals are recognized for their achievements. National Council may decide at Convention to give additional awards to deserving recipients. 

    Collegiate Awards: Annual
    Crown Chapter Award (Collegiate) – For attainment of minimum standards of chapter excellence. The National Vice Presidents Collegiate recommend eligible chapters to National Council, which selects the recipients.  Click here for a list of 2012 recipients.  

    Financial Improvement Awards – Given on the basis of yearly evaluation in: timely reporting, operating within a balanced budget, fulfillment of financial obligations, prompt collection of members’ and new members’ bills, adherence and support of ZTA financial policies, cooperation with auditors and the Chapter Financial Management Committee.  Click here for a list of 2012 recipients.  

    Helping Hands Awards –Recognizes those chapters and individuals that have assisted the Fraternity or another chapter in some significant way during the year.  Click here for a list of 2012 recipients.  

    Quota/Total Awards –Presented to chapters that pledged Quota during the Formal Recruitment period and maintained maximum chapter Total each semester or quarter during the school year.  Click here for a list of 2012 recipients. 

    Collegiate Awards: Convention
    These awards are only presented at Convention and represent achievements during the biennium.

    Silver Awards (listed alphabetically)
    Activities Awards – Given to three chapters on three different-sized campuses for outstanding leadership in activities for the biennium. 2012 recipients: Large Campus - Delta Kappa, Louisiana State University; Medium Campus - Zeta Xi, Georgia Southern University; Small Campus - Zeta Alpha, University of Evansville 

    Alumnae-Collegiate Relations Award – Given to an alumnae and collegiate chapter that have, through communication and joint activities, service projects, recruitment support, social gatherings and emphasis on sisterhood, developed and/or maintained a strong commitment to connecting collegians and alumnae. (See also Alumnae Awards: Convention.) 2012 recipient: Gamma Psi, Texas Christian University 

    Anne Winnes Redmond Service Award – Named in honor of Anne Winnes Redmond who served as National Service Chairman for more than 50 years. Recognizes a chapter’s philanthropic efforts, based on volunteer hours to service on campus and in the community and fund-raising efforts. 2012 recipient: Delta Theta, Ohio Northern University 

    Becky Hainsworth Kirwan Chapter Improvement Award – Honors former National President Becky Hainsworth Kirwan. Recognizes a chapter that has shown the courage and commitment to improve and achieve success. 2012 recipient: Eta Upsilon, Missouri Southern State University 

    Golden Anniversary Academic Achievement Award – Awarded for excellence in academic achievement and is presented to the chapter with the highest academic average for the biennium. 2012 recipient: Kappa Eta, Rockhurst University 

    Helen Margaret Harrison Award – Highest award presented to a collegiate chapter and named after former National President Helen Margaret Harrison. Given in recognition of a chapter’s success in having consistently attained a high level of superiority in every phase of chapter effort, including activities, scholastic achievement, membership recruitment and financial management. 2012 recipient: Gappa Pi, The University of Georgia 

    Margaret Dunkle Hardy Scholastic Improvement Award– Recognizes the chapter with the most improved grade point average during the biennium.. 2012 recipient: Zeta Nu, Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania 

    Martha C. Edens New Chapter Award – Recognizes the most outstanding chapter that is no more than four years old. Established by Beta Omicron Chapter at the University of South Carolina in recognition of its 50th Anniversary and in honor of former National President Martha C. Edens. 2012 recipient: Alpha Gamma, University of Michigan 

    Membership Selection Awards – Four awards given to the outstanding chapter in each of these four divisions: a) small campus with no chapter house; b) small campus with chapter house; c) large campus with no chapter house; d) large campus with chapter house. Based on outstanding recruitment results successful membership selection  procedures and for both years of the biennium. 2012 recipients: Large Campus - Eta Zeta, Elon University; Medium Campus - Lambda Gamma, The University of Texas at San Antonio; Small Campus - Fairleigh Dickinson University 

    Merit Award – Third highest award presented to a collegiate chapter, given to the chapter that has maintained and sustained excellent officer and campus leadership, academic achievement, chapter attitude and cooperation. 2012 recipients: Gamma Iota, University of Florida; 1st runner-up: Zeta Gamma, Youngstown State University; 2nd runner-up: Eta Tau, The University of North Carolina at Charlotte  

    National Council Special Recognition Awards – Presented to individuals or chapters that National Council wishes to recognize for outstanding contributions to the Fraternity. Areas of excellence for which the awards are given may be different at each Convention. 2012 recipients: Eta Theta, Missouri University of Science and Technology; Theta Eta, Stephen F. Austin State University 

    Nelly Galloway Shearer Achievement Award – Second highest honor presented to a collegiate chapter, named for the former National President upon her retirement as Secretary-Treasurer. Given to the chapter that has made the greatest progress or continued to maintain its high degree of excellence during the two-year period between Conventions. 2012 recipient: Theta Tau, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; 1st runner-up: Epsilon, University of Arkansas; 2nd runner-up: Theta Zeta, Wofford College 

    New Member Programming Award – Given to the chapter whose program not only meets the requirements of the new member program, but also exhibits the spirit of involvement. 2012 recipient: Iota Omega, University of Maryland 

    Sherry Server Tilley Leadership Award – Honors former National President Sherry Server Tilley. Presented to a chapter that has developed or shown sustained excellence in leadership training by offering challenging and ongoing motivational training for its membership and have recognized outstanding leadership performance. 2012 recipient: Phi, Duke University 

    Standards and Enrichment Award – Based on standards of character, personal conduct, social competence and cultural attainment, developed through programs that benefit the chapter and its members. 2012 recipient: Gamma Beta, Washington College; 1st runner-up: Zeta Psi, Jacksonville State University; 2nd runner-up: Delta Omega, Westminster College 

    Vallera Clough Ross Panhellenic Award – Honors former NPC Delegate Vallera Clough Ross and given to the chapter that excels in Panhellenic leadership and involvement on its campus. 2012 recipient: Gamma Chi Chapter; Indiana State University 

     

    Other Convention Awards:
    Academic Achievement Awards – Awarded to those chapters that have attained Highly Commendable status for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters during the biennium, based on reports received since the preceding Convention. Click here for a list of 2012 recipients. 

    Louise Kettler Helper Memorial Award – Given to one alumna and one collegiate member whose services and achievements are notable contributions to the progress of the Fraternity and the fraternity world. National Council chooses the recipients.     Attendance Awards – Presented to the collegiate and alumnae chapters representing the greatest mileage traveled to Convention. 2012 recipient: Psi, University of Washington 

    Website Award – Awarded to the chapter with the best chapter website.2012 recipient: Iota Psi, Rochester Institute of Technology
