The second link of ZTA’s Link Member Enrichment Program focuses on leadership development. These programs, targeted at sophomore members, help the women develop leadership skills as they are the future leaders of the chapter. Topics including conflict resolution, leading as a role model, and leading with integrity are discussed.
Zeta Tau Alpha’s Conventions and National Leadership Conferences provide two or more representatives from each collegiate chapter the opportunity to attend workshops on leadership development, group dynamics, motivation, communication and more. All Zetas, both collegiate and alumnae, are encouraged to attend the biennial Conventions.
Chapters are organized into Provinces that are overseen by regional directors, or Province Presidents, who serve as additional resources. Following chapter elections at the end of the fall semester, the Province President organizes an annual Provincewide Officer Training for new chapter leaders and advisors. These sessions provide an opportunity to network, share ideas and develop friendships with officers and advisors from other area chapters.
Traveling Leadership Consultants visit chapters to offer additional training and support. In addition to these consultants and national training events, ZTA provides leadership development texts for every collegiate and alumnae volunteer officer, and for many chairman positions.
