Title: Digital Media Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Digital Media

Position Status: Non-exempt, hourly, full-time

Position Location: Carmel, Indiana

Position Summary: The Digital Media Coordinator is a fast learner and creative thinker. In this role, every day will look different as you help optimize, create content for and update ZTA’s web presences—on social media, via email marketing and for ZetaTauAlpha.org. The right candidate has experience in multiple aspects of digital media, is passionate about audience engagement and would be a fierce advocate for the ZTA brand.


  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism or other related field
  • One to three years of professional experience in social media and digital media and/or video production
  • Excellent understanding of best practices for email, website and social media
  • Familiarity with What You See is What You Get (WYSIWYG) web editors required; HTML knowledge a plus
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver; Premiere Pro and/or After Effects (or equivalent) a plus
  • Ability and willingness to learn skills in video production; existing skills in video production and editing a plus; additional existing skills in video animation and motion graphics a major plus
  • ZTA or other fraternity/sorority membership is a plus.


  • Work closely with the Director of Digital Media on overall strategy for social media, email marketing, website content, and video production
  • Work with cross-departmental teams to create and share content for ZTA’s web presence, including social media (currently: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn), YouTube, mass emails and website, based on your skillset
  • Report on and analyze ZTA’s web presence and audience engagement using qualitative and quantitative data and put that data to use in daily work/future projects
  • Format and send mass emails as well as occasionally create content for e-newsletters
  • Provide maintenance for ZetaTauAlpha.org, regularly checking for outdated content, incorporating content from other departments
  • Uphold the ZTA brand visually, creatively and in written tone/voice
  • Potential for travel on an as-needed basis to attend ZTA events (like Convention) or visit chapters to gather video footage (once ZTA lifts work-related travel restrictions for staff members)
  • Additional opportunities to take on responsibility based on experience/skills of applicant
