Position Title: Housing Project Manager

Reporting Relationship: Senior Director of Housing

Position Status: Exempt, salaried, full-time

Position Location: Carmel, Indiana

Position Summary: The Housing Project Manager serves as the project management liaison between the Fraternity Housing Corporation (FHC) board, Area Housing Coordinator (AHC) volunteers, vendors and staff. They are a key component in the success of projects through communication and proactive problem-solving.


• Minimum of bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in fraternity and sorority life, residence life, construction management or related field

• Familiarity and experience leading teams and managing people

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Must be independent, self-motivated and success-driven

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) along with a familiarity of different databases such as Buildium and iMIS

• Ability and willingness to carry up to 35 pounds

• Membership in Zeta Tau Alpha and/or knowledgeable of Greek letter organizations preferred


• In cooperation with FHC board and Senior Director of Housing, create and execute project plans for areas of volunteer support and facility maintenance.

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation within Buildium.

• Assist AHCs with planning preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Quickly analyze potential problems, provide quick solutions, and execute with autonomy while maintaining regular and clear communication to stakeholders.

• Assist with development and implementation of House Director, House Manager, General/Housing Advisor and Area Housing Coordinator resources and training.

• Assist in creating a compelling and inspired vision for Zeta Tau Alpha housing, while working cooperatively with staff, boards, National Officers and volunteers through regular communication and collaboration.

• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the housing projects to all required stakeholders.

• Leverage ZTA’s database platforms (iMIS, ZetaBase, Z-Learning) as an area for housing data collection, educational resources and opportunities.

• Provide additional board and staff administrative support and other duties as assigned.
