Title: Multimedia Design Coordinator

Reports to: Sr. Director of Communication; works closely with Director of Digital Media

Position Status: Non-exempt, hourly, full-time

Position Location: Carmel, Indiana

Start Date: As soon as possible

Position Summary: The right person for this role is a creative thinker who can clearly communicate information and concepts through graphic design and video. In this role, every day will look different as you create content for ZTA’s communication initiatives through digital graphic design, working on printed pieces and video editing. The ideal candidate has experience rooted in graphic design, is able to edit video and create motion graphics, and would be a fierce advocate for the ZTA brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, communication, marketing or other related field
  • One to three years of professional experience in graphic design
  • Existing skills in video production and editing; additional skills in video animation and motion graphics a plus
  • Working knowledge of the following: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop; Premiere Pro and/or After Effects (or equivalent) a plus
  • Ability to think creatively and critically, balance diverse tasks and manage projects from multiple entities
  • ZTA or other fraternity/sorority membership is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design engaging graphics for social media, print materials and animated videos
  • Contribute to ZTA’s visual brand and maintain brand standards
  • Manage timelines and prioritization of workload, and know when to ask for direction
  • Assist team in developing and executing communication plans
  • Provide technical support for design- and video-related efforts
  • Maintain organized content files, and help to organize and archive existing video, photo and graphics files
  • Potential for travel on an as-needed basis to attend ZTA events (like Convention) or visit chapters to gather video footage
  • Additional opportunities to take on responsibility based on experience/skills of applicant
