Refer a PNM
Refer a potential new member
Recommendations are one way to connect a PNM to the sorority world. That conversation can be ongoing to promote ZTA and the Panhellenic experience. Encourage PNMs to follow the Fraternity and ZTA chapter social media accounts and to meet Zetas on their campuses. Sorority recruitment continues to evolve, and sharing our ZTA story and the impact of membership crosses generational lines.
The Membership Information Sheet (MIS) is currently unavailable for alumnae to submit and for our collegiate chapters to review while we transition to our new database. It will be one of the first items to return; we anticipate it will be down for less than three weeks.
To minimize the disruption and best prepare for when the site is back up:
Keep collecting potential new member information and hold it until the MIS form is available.
Many university Panhellenics give deadlines for recommendation submissions; however, those are guidelines. ZTA chapters can continually receive recommendations submitted through our MIS form.
Please do not reach out to the collegiate chapter or their advisors. They have processes in place to review recommendations that come through ZetaBase.
ZetaBase will be on a new platform, so you’ll be prompted to claim your account. You must create a new username and password before you can submit a recommendation. Your previous username and password will not work on the new site. International Office staff will be ready to support you in using our new experience.
If you want to be notified when the MIS form is available, submit your information here.
Thank you again for your patience and for sharing ZTA with the next generation of members!
Note: Zeta Tau Alpha alerts its members to a type of business that appears to simplify the recruitment process for PNMs. These for-profit internet sites offer to assist PNMs with obtaining references. They charge a fee for college-bound women to have reference letters written for them and sent to their respective chapters in an automated online format. Both Zeta Tau Alpha and National Panhellenic Conference are aware of these sites, but do not support their use. College chapters and advisors are asked to alert their Province President if they receive one of these references and to not consider them as voluntary references.
Zeta Tau Alpha does not endorse the use of any third-party business (whether or not it charges a fee) that offers to help PNMs obtain references for several reasons, including that these third-party businesses place the responsibility of obtaining a reference on the PNMs, rather than on the chapter. ZTA has resources available for alumnae to use for submitting references. There is no reason for PNMs to pay for references. There is no way to verify that the writers of these references from these websites are ZTA members.
If a Zeta receives a reference request from a third-party site, she should instead follow the procedures outlined on Sisters Only site’s Refer a Member page.
