Lifelong learning begins with friendship
Since 1898, our members have lived by the timeless and cherished values found in The Creed of Zeta Tau Alpha:
- Lifelong Learning
- Leadership
- Responsibility
- Being Rather than Seeming
- Service & Philanthropy
- Seeking Understanding that We Might Gain True Wisdom
- Humility
- Loyalty & Commitment
- Love
Students attend college to learn, and many of the lessons learned in four years take place outside the classroom. Membership in ZTA offers your student the opportunity to lead; take on responsibility; serve others in the community; understand and appreciate the uniqueness of each student in the chapter; and be authentic, humble and loyal. Through it all, our members show each other love, the foundation precept of our Fraternity.
As a new member, your student will begin to see ZTA’s lifelong commitment to friendship. The Zeta Is Forever New Member Experience connects new members to each other and to initiated members. New members are paired with Big Sisters to guide and mentor them. ZTA alumnae advisors and National Officers also provide support to our college chapters and members. These women demonstrate the commitment to sisterhood that continues long after graduation.
It is a joy to work with our collegiate and alumnae members as they build supportive networks, strengthen their skills, pursue their purpose and discover their potential. Thank you for trusting us to provide those experiences for someone so important to you, not just for four years, but for life.

Zeta Tau Alpha National President
ZTA's Three Entities
Our Creed says, “…in Zeta Tau Alpha, lies the opportunity to learn those things which will ever enrich and ennoble our lives.” The partnership between the Fraternity, the ZTA Foundation and the ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation helps us live up to that promise.
ZTA National Council: This nine-member board of alumnae volunteers is elected every two years to oversee the operations of the Fraternity and collegiate and alumnae chapters.
ZTA Foundation: This 501(c)3 non-profit organization, led by a board of alumnae volunteers, funds scholarships, educational programming and our breast cancer education and awareness efforts. Your donations help us continue to provide these important programs.
ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation: With an eight-member board and a national network of volunteers, the FHC ensures safe, competitive and attractive housing and meeting facilities for our collegians.
ZTA Policies
Following ZTA policies and making safety a priority is every Zeta’s personal responsibility. Find ZTA’s policies here.
Health and Safety Matters
ZTA cares about the health and safety of our members. We know this can be at the forefront of your mind while your student is on campus. ZTA has many resources and programs for collegians and for you as parents to support health and safety.
Parent and guardian program
Hazing has no place in either the ZTA experience or any other club, team or organization. ZTA designed this short, online course for parents and guardians who have students of any age from grade school through college. It includes a video with perspectives of parents who lost their sons to hazing, discusses what hazing is, the warning signs of hazing and how to talk to your child as well as resources on hazing prevention. You can find this interactive course here.
Collegiate programming
ZTA designed the My Sister, My Responsibility® program to create conversation around risk, educate members about the duty of care for themselves and others, and emphasize the mission and purpose of Zeta Tau Alpha. This program has six components:·
Behind Happy Faces, understanding mental health and how to approach a sister who needs help
Generation Rx, raising awareness about the dangers of prescription drug misuse
Teaching Social Responsibility, teaching prevention and confrontation of problematic drinking
Sisterhood, Safety & Support, addressing sexual assault and creating a safer social culture
Preventing and Confronting Hazing, educating members on the devastating impact of hazing.
Seeking Understanding, focusing on inclusion and belonging through genuine conversations and increased understanding of members’ identities
Billhighway chapter financial management system
Billhighway is a cloud-based platform that helps nonprofits and associations automate all areas of their financial life cycles. Zeta Tau Alpha partners with Billhighway to help our chapters manage their finances effectively.
Each ZTA collegiate chapter creates monthly statements for members’ dues and fees through Billhighway. Members receive their statements by email and are responsible for making payments directly to Billhighway online, by phone or by mail.
If you would like to receive a copy of your daughter's monthly statement, she must add your email as a secondary email address to her Billhighway account. She does this by updating her membership information in the Sisters Only portion of the ZTA website. This will allow you to receive a copy of your daughter’s monthly statement.
Monthly statements are sent by email to the member (and to her parent if she has added a secondary email address), on either:
the first of every month with corresponding charges due by the 11th,
the 15th of every month with corresponding charges due by the 25th.
The chapter may opt to chose either statement date.
Billhighway will assess a 4% late fee per invoice, with a minimum amount of $1, on all invoices over five days past due.
To ensure a payment is allocated to the right account, a member or her parents must pay her dues directly to the Billhighway processing center online, by phone or by mail.
Pay Online
By electronic check, debit or credit card, or automatic payment draft. For quick and easy payment access, a member or parents should click on “Pay Now” in the email they receive. Note: A 3.5 percent fee will be deducted from all member payments made via credit or debit card for merchant fees. Online electronic check payments are recommended for faster processing.
Pay by Phone
Call (877) 333–6007 to make payments. You will need your daughter’s Billhighway account number and permanent address zip code. Note: A 3.5 percent fee will be deducted from all member payments made via credit or debit card for merchant fees.
Pay by Mail
Send payments to the following address:
Billhighway
Zeta Tau Alpha
PO Box 635674
Cincinnati, OH 45263-5674
When paying by mail, you must attach a remittance slip and write the Billhighway account number on your check. The remittance slip is the bottom portion of the invoice you will receive by email. Without a remittance slip, payment could be delayed. Payments by mail typically take five business days to be processed. Online electronic check payments are recommended for faster processing.
If you have more than one ZTA daughter, you must pay each account separately. Billhighway will not combine the accounts. Please submit individual payments for each member.
Payments will automatically apply to the oldest invoice on the account.
Billhighway provides chapters with the software to bill and collect fees from Zeta Tau Alpha members, but the chapter itself determines fee amounts, with assistance from advisors and International Office. For questions regarding how much your daughter owes or fees that were assessed to her account, you or she should contact her chapter Treasurer.
Activating an Account
A member activates her account by going to www.billhighway.co and clicking on “Activate Account” in the quick links section at the bottom of the page. Billhighway will send an activation code by email. The email address entered should match the email the chapter has on record. The member then enters the activation code on the Activate Account page. If the member does not receive an activation code via email, she can request a new one from the Activate Account page. Next, she creates a password and re-enters it for confirmation. Once she clicks “Submit,” she will have activated her Billhighway account.
Viewing a Balance
Each member has her own Billhighway account at www.billhighway.co with 24/7 visibility of payments, charges and activity. She may also call (877) 333–6007 to make payments, verify her balance, check payment history or verify a chapter payment address. She will need her account number and permanent address zip code.
Paying A Specific Charge
Payments will automatically apply to the oldest invoice on the account. To pay a specific charge rather than the oldest invoice, a member may go to My Account > Make My Payment, then choose "I'd like to pay a different amount" and then "Select Specific Charges." She clicks on the invoice she would like to pay and follow the steps to complete the payment.
Printing Additional Remittance Slip
Each emailed invoice contains a remittance slip at the bottom of the page. A member can print an additional remittance slip by logging into the Billhighway account and navigating to the Reports > Balance Detail page. From this page, she selects a PDF from the available invoices to print. To pay by mail, send the printed remittance slip and check with the account number indicated to the address listed above.
Username
A member’s username is her email address. If a member does not recall the email address she entered as her username, she can contact the Client Care team for assistance at support@billhighway.com.
Updating Personal Profile Information
ZetaBase (ZTA’s online database management system) and Billhighway are in sync. When a member updates her information in ZetaBase, and the updated information will appear in their Billhighway account within two business days.
Password Reset
A member may reset her password by clicking the link next to “Forgot your password?” on the Login page. She requests a new activation code by darkening the circle next to "Send me an Activation Code." Once she receives the new activation code, she returns to the “Forgot your password?” page and enters her email address, Billhighway account number and activation code to reset her password.
Account Number
A member’s account number is located on the top-right corner of her Billhighway statement. The account number will also appear on her account summary when she logs into her Billhighway account. The chapter Treasurer can also provide a member with her Billhighway account number.
