A more diverse, equitable and inclusive sisterhood starts with YOU!

Learn more about the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Survey straight from one of ZTA’s audit partners, Tran Arrowsmith PLLC.

Hi! We’re Tran Arrowsmith PLLC and The Harbor Institute, and we are thrilled to announce that we are collaborating with Zeta Tau Alpha to conduct a diversity, equity and inclusion audit. This audit will empower ZTA with information about where to start and what to do to achieve its DEI goals. We will utilize surveys as well as document review and other processes to identify current challenges and reveal opportunities to create a more meaningful membership experience for all sisters.

Who are we?

Tran Arrowsmith PLLC is a law firm dedicated to serving fraternal organizations (especially culturally based groups from the National Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Panhellenic Association, National Multicultural Greek Council, National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. and those not under an umbrella council), as well as LGBTQ folks and people from underrepresented communities. Stevie Tran, one of the partners at TA, worked with ZTA on its 2017 Membership Selection Policy update, and TA partnered with ZTA in 2020 to create a My Sister, My Responsibility®: Seeking Understanding workshop.

The Harbor Institute is a premier educational consulting firm that specializes in diversity, equity and inclusion, hazing prevention and intervention, cultural empowerment, leadership development, and fraternity and sorority life.

Now, as part of ZTA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, we are thrilled to be back and partner with Harbor to conduct this audit. We are creating multiple avenues for each of YOU to share your experiences as a Zeta directly with us.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Survey

An important component of our audit process is an organization-wide DEI survey to hear your voices. All collegians and alumnae will receive a link to an anonymous survey. The survey will open March 28 and close April 26.

We want to hear about strengths so we can uplift and amplify ZTA’s successes; we also hope you will share moments for growth and learning so we can examine ways the Fraternity can grow from painful moments and enrich the lives of ALL members in more meaningful ways.

Didn’t we already do a survey this year?

If you are a collegian, you should have completed the annual Membership Survey earlier this semester.

The DEI Survey asks different questions and will be open to all members—collegians and alumnae—at all levels. This survey will help us collect valuable data and further ZTA’s commitment to building a nobler womanhood in the world by creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive sisterhood.

Guided by ZTA’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, we are collecting, reviewing and listening to each and every one of your responses.

What will happen with the survey results?

We will compile and analyze the anonymous survey results and use the data to inform our recommendations for ZTA’s DEI Strategic Plan. The information you provide through the survey will help us better understand what ZTA is already doing well and recommend practical short- and long-term strategies to ensure all members feel a sense of belonging.
