Convention 2020: virtual experience

In this unique and challenging time in history, National Council has drawn inspiration from The Creed of Zeta Tau Alpha. Two familiar lines have been especially helpful to us: “to seek understanding that we might gain true wisdom” and “to have the welfare and harmony of the Fraternity at heart.”

The nine members of National Council have met virtually at least two times a week for the last seven weeks, weighing heavy questions, considering multiple options and seeking understanding of each other’s thoughts and opinions in order to make the wisest decisions. Our overriding concerns have been the welfare and safety of our members and our harmonious unity of purpose as leaders. This pandemic has required us to combine our individual leadership styles for the betterment of our Fraternity and our sisterhood.

We announce with great sadness that National Council has unanimously voted to cancel our planned, in-person Convention, scheduled for June 24-28 in Atlanta, Georgia, and to instead create a modified virtual experience with a business meeting and celebrations of sisterhood.

We know you all will have many questions about what this virtual experience will include. Now that we have made the overall decision, we can begin to shape our vision for a new concept. Learn more at ztaconvention.com.
