Meghan Parker named Executive Director
National Council of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity has selected Meghan Vicinus Parker as Executive Director, effective July 5. Meghan is an alumna of ZTA’s Alpha Upsilon Chapter at Oklahoma State University.
“We believe Meghan possesses an outstanding mix of university administration, academic experience and ZTA knowledge that makes her uniquely qualified for the Executive Director position,” National President Carolyn Hof Carpenter said.
Meghan previously worked at ZTA’s International Office as Director of Membership from January 2007 to December 2008 and Director of Operations and Personnel from December 2008 to August 2009. She was a Traveling Leadership Consultant for ZTA from 2005 to 2007. “We are thrilled that she is willing to return to our staff to help us lead the Fraternity forward,” Mrs. Carpenter said.
Since 2010, Meghan has been Assistant Director of the Student Learning Assistance Center at Texas State University in San Marcos. Her peers at Texas State elected her chair of the President’s Staff Council, which ensures the effective contribution of staff expertise toward the university’s goals. She also worked as Assistant Coordinator of the Learning Center at St. Edward’s University in Austin from 2009 to 2010.
While advancing in her career in higher education, Meghan volunteered for ZTA as a Director of New Chapters for five years and as a Province President for three years.
“I am so honored to have this opportunity. I felt very called to apply and I wanted to earn this position,” Meghan said. “I look forward to cultivating strong relationships with ZTA National Officers, alumnae and collegiate members to ensure ZTA remains a premier leadership organization.”
Meghan will attend ZTA’s International Convention in Phoenix July 11–17 and will begin working at the Fraternity’s International Office in Indianapolis on August 15.
