ZTA creates anti-hazing programming for high school students and their parents

Zeta Tau Alpha is proud to be part of the fight against hazing. To mark this year’s National Hazing Prevention Week, we’re excited to share an important new step in our anti-hazing efforts. ZTA is partnering with Rich Braham and Jim and Evelyn Piazza, parents who lost their sons as a result of hazing, to create new, personalized programming for high school students and their parents.

These unique educational programs share insights from the personal experiences of Rich, Jim and Evelyn. Specifically, high school students will learn how to be more than a bystander, how to overcome fear and how to care for friends. Parents will better understand what hazing is, learn what questions to ask their students and understand what signs to look for.

Through the testimonies of these powerful speakers as well as supplemental educational workshops, both high school students and their parents will learn the importance of standing up against hazing.

This valuable program is in addition to ZTA’s ongoing efforts, which include our award-winning My Sister, My Responsibility® programming and active harm reduction partnerships with Alpha Chi Omega, Pi Kappa Phi and Sigma Nu.
