ZTA Foundation Giving Levels

To honor those sisters whose donations reflect that “ZTA is not just four years, but for life,” the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation announces a new recognition program for cumulative giving.

At the end of each fiscal year, donors will receive gifts from the Foundation for reaching lifetime giving levels of $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $75,000 and $100,000. As of May 1, 2020, 137 living Zetas have achieved one or more of these levels.

“We want to honor the commitment, consistency and longevity of these sisters whose contributions help sustain the work of the Foundation,” said ZTA Foundation President Carolyn Hof Carpenter. “Their ongoing generosity allows us to grow our scholarship program, provide leadership training for our collegiate officers and support the Leadership Consultant program. In effect, they are helping us instill loyalty and responsibility in our future donor base.”

The five new lifetime giving levels have distinctive names and unique gifts.

  • 1898 Society ($10,000 to $24,999): Lapel pin
  • Creed Society: ($25,000 to $49,999): Bracelet
  • Sword and Shield Society: ($50,000 to $74,999): Jewelry box
  • Crest Society ($75,000 to $99,999) Crest necklace
  • Founders Society ($100,000 and above): A replica of Second Grand President Bruce Houston Davis’ gold and diamond signet ring
The ring was a gift to Mrs. Davis from the Fraternity when she retired from Grand Chapter in 1908 and is now part of the Historical and Educational Center’s permanent collection.

Members of the five new giving societies will receive the gift from each level they have attained. The first gifts will be sent to donors this August. In the future, donors will receive gifts and be honored at Convention as they reach new giving levels.

Recognition for annual giving at the individual and chapter donors will have a new look and concept, starting August 1. Those who give $300 or more during one fiscal year will receive one of five new giving level buttons:

  • Link: $300 to $499
  • Themis: $500 to $999
  • Torch: $1,000 to $2,499
  • Shield: $2,500 to $4,999
  • Crown: $5,000 and above

Members of the lifetime giving societies and donors who give $300 or more in the fiscal year will also be listed in Themis magazine.

“We hope this new, fresh way of recognizing donors will continue to show our appreciation for every gift to the Foundation,” Mrs. Carpenter said. “We value all gifts and thank our members for entrusting us to use their donations to carry out our Founders’ vision.”
