ZTA among NIC Foundation Laurel Wreath Award recipients
ZTA is honored to be among the organizations chosen for the North American Interfraternity Council’s Laurel Wreath Award.
The Laurel Wreath Award is presented to individuals or groups in recognition of their unique programs, community outreach or influence within the fraternal world.
For years, ZTA has partnered with Alpha Chi Omega, Sigma Nu and Pi Kappa Phi to create educational resources related to harm reduction and safety. This year, the joint educational poster series is being recognized for its wide range of topics and distribution.
The posters address a myriad of health and safety topics concerning students such as hazing, alcohol abuse, mental health and sexual misconduct. Copies of the posters and discussion guides are mailed to fraternity/sorority life offices across North America as well as to every chapter of the sponsoring organizations, and downloadable resources are available online. The relevant messaging of these posters provides educators a helpful point of entry for important health and safety conversations.
“Zeta Tau Alpha values our partnerships with the interfraternal community,” said National President Alicia Patten Williams. “We are honored and humbled to be recognized for our continued efforts to educate and reinforce safety and health issues that our collective memberships face across the university spectrum."
