The extension process begins when a College Panhellenic votes to add another NPC sorority to its current system or when a university with no NPC groups decides to create a Panhellenic system. The NPC Extension Committee Chairman then notifies all NPC groups of these decisions. Those organizations interested in extension on that campus prepare presentational materials for the university and College Panhellenic to view. These materials are then used to shape the decision as to which organization is invited to join the campus’ Greek community.
The NPC Extension Committee will also guide a local sorority that desires to affiliate with a NPC group. These groups will then have the opportunity to be absorbed by an NPC organization and become that group’s newest chapter.
