This award is given to the chapter that is second runner-up for the Nan Barkley Boettcher Award, which recognizes excellence in all areas of Fraternity life for alumnae chapters with no collegiate chapters nearby. It was named for former National President and Vice President Alumnae Nan Barkley Boettcher.
