Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity Receives Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention
Vector Solutions named Zeta Tau Alpha as a recipient of the Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention. The CPN Seal of Prevention recognizes institutions of higher education that have demonstrated leadership in digital prevention programming focused on student safety, well-being and inclusion.
The CPN Seal of Prevention establishes guidelines for discerning quality online prevention education and implementation practices. It also positions prevention as central to key institutional outcomes, including recruitment, student success, retention and advancement.
“Zeta Tau Alpha has prioritized harm reduction efforts to create a safer, more inclusive chapter experience through comprehensive, evidence-based education in sexual assault and violence prevention, alcohol and drug misuse, mental health, hazing prevention, and diversity, equity and inclusion awareness,” said Senior Director of Harm Reduction and University Relations Kyle A. Pendleton.
“We are excited to name Zeta Tau Alpha a 2021 recipient of the CPN Seal of Prevention,” said Vector Solutions CEO Marc Scheipe. “We are proud to recognize them for their exemplary work helping make college and university communities safer and more inclusive.”
“By investing in both members’ academic success inside the classroom and their well-being and experiences outside the classroom, we are demonstrating a true commitment to a healthier and safer collegiate experience,” said Zeta Tau Alpha National President, Alicia Williams. “We are thrilled to be recognized with the CPN Seal of Prevention.”
The criteria for the CPN Seal of Prevention are based on the Principles of Effective Prevention Programs (Nation, et al., 2003). CPN evaluates more than one thousand campuses on an annual basis to determine eligibility.
