ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation elects Board of Directors for new organizational structure

At its biennial meeting during ZTA Convention 2018 in June, the member associations of the ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation elected its board of directors under a new organizational structure.

The eight-member board more closely resembles the structure of ZTA’s National Council and will allow the corporation to more effectively manage its 163 member associations and oversee the 113 facilities it currently owns or manages.

The newly-elected FHC officers are:

  • President: Dinah Jackson Laughery; Austin, Texas; Florida State University
  • Vice President Housing Area I: Natalie Yingling; Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; Westminster College
  • Vice President Housing Area II: Julie Ward Moxley; Charleston, South Carolina; Winthrop University
  • Vice President Housing Area III: Marnie Marlar Frazier; Chicago, Illinois; Louisiana State University in Shreveport
  • Vice President Construction: Leah Fields Ozment; Tuscaloosa, Alabama; The University of Alabama
  • Vice President Design: Julia Marthaler Hill; Birmingham, Alabama; The University of North Alabama
  • Vice President Operations: Casey Guimbellot Pash; Columbia, South Carolina; Middle Tennessee State University
  • Secretary-Treasurer: Stephanie Arnette Powell; Cumming, Georgia; The University of Georgia

National President Alicia Patten Williams, Secretary-Treasurer Franlyna Barrett Charles and ZTA Foundation President Carolyn Hof Carpenter also serve on the FHC board by virtue of their elected offices.

“We look forward to maintaining the FHC’s position as the largest and most successful housing corporation in the fraternity/sorority community,” Mrs. Laughery said. “Since 1977, the FHC has provided safe, comfortable and competitive spaces for our chapter members to grow their sisterhood. This structure will help us continue to do that well into the future.”
