The following work submitted by ZTA stood out amongst the more than 600 award submissions from fraternity and sorority headquarters around the country.
First place, Educational Resources
Guide to Recruitment and Retention
This award honors outstanding educational materials. These might include online resources, printed materials such as manuals or handbooks, history books, educational brochures, etc.
An FCA judge said, “It is clear that this is meant to teach and not just be a resource collection. They engage different learning styles with their various teaching methods.”
Second Place, Critics' Choice Logo Design
My Zeta Story Podcast
Critics’ Choice Awards are voted on by FCA members and are coveted because winners are recognized by peers. This particular award recognized outstanding design in a logo. Check out the My Zeta Story Podcast here.
Second Place, Publication Improvement - Printed Materials
Guide to Anniversary Celebrations
This award honors outstanding efforts to improve an existing publication. The publication must have undergone significant change during the judging timeframe of the 2021 calendar year.
An FCA judge said, “This guide had some major updates when it comes to content, layout, and organization, and it shows. The reorganization feels intentional, makes information easier to find, and creates a comprehensive arc of information.”
Second Place, Social Media Engagement
@ztafraternity
This category judges overall engagement across a group's social media platforms, regardless of the organization's size and which platforms are used. Entries are judged on specific metrics provided by applicants. Relevant data is provided by each social media platform’s native reporting tool.
A judge noted, "This org leads the pack in its short-form content and strategic approach across Instagram and TikTok. The organization's willingness to test and optimize video content on these newer platforms is something to be admired.”
During the association's Business Meeting, the conference body elected FCA's Board of Directors.
ZTA alumna and Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity's Director of Communications and Brand Management Andrea Benek (Beta Theta Chapter, Franklin College) was elected as FCA Board President.
Ashley Sherman was elected Vice President - Operations and Hailey Rogers was elected Director of Marketing.
Alongside their fellow 2022 board members, Andrea, Ashley and Hailey will help carry out FCA's Strategic Plan and lead the organization into its centennial year.
