Zeta Tau Alpha closes Eta Nu Chapter at Radford University
With deep and sincere sadness, Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity announces the closing of Eta Nu Chapter at Radford University in Radford, Virginia, effective Aug. 22, 2022.
ZTA’s National Council made this decision after the chapter’s repeated violations of ZTA policies and lack of correction. The decision has the support of Radford’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
“The Fraternity entrusts National Council with the responsibility of preserving our sisterhood. That responsibility requires us to make difficult decisions, and none is more difficult than the decision to close a chapter,” National President Dinah Jackson Laughery said. “We have not taken this decision lightly nor made it with haste. All chapters must abide by the ideals and principles of our sisterhood if they wish to remain a part of our organization. We cannot allow any chapter to risk the cherished standing of ZTA as an organization that values ‘the Right, the Good and the True.’”
Eta Nu Chapter was installed at Radford on April 22, 1972, as the 156th link in ZTA’s Chain of Chapters.
