Zeta Tau Alpha closes Theta Nu Chapter at Auburn University at Montgomery

Zeta Tau Alpha regrets to announce the closing of Theta Nu Chapter at Auburn University of Montgomery, effective at the end of the spring 2026 semester.

The chapter has seen a continued decrease in membership due to declining interest in Panhellenic life on campus. While ZTA’s national leadership and staff have worked with the chapter to rebuild, these attempts have not produced the desired results.

“ZTA aims to provide every member with a positive experience, which is only possible when a chapter is able to sustain and grow its membership,” National President Dinah Jackson Laughery said. “Theta Nu sisters have support from the entirety of the Zeta Tau Alpha sisterhood as they begin their journey as ZTA alumnae.”

Theta Nu Chapter was installed at Auburn University at Montgomery on April 15, 1928, as the 182nd link in ZTA’s Chain of Chapters.
