ZTA Launches Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan
Zeta Tau Alpha is committed to building a nobler womanhood for all by creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive sisterhood. Today, we are glad to debut ZTA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan so we can be held accountable to that commitment.
As part of this strategic plan, we are also excited to launch two new diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Starting today, six My Sister, My Responsibility®: Seeking Understanding workshops are now available to both collegians and alumnae. Additionally, a new virtual module on diversity, equity and inclusion from EverFi rolls out tomorrow to collegiate officers and chapter advisors. Alumnae officers will have access beginning on Sept. 16.
The full Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan is posted on the Inclusion page of our website, which has been updated to provide more comprehensive information and an improved user-friendly experience. It also better informs visitors about ZTA’s ongoing efforts and provides a place where members and nonmembers can share feedback, make suggestions or report an incident.
While ZTA has made great progress in the past year with guidance from the Inclusion Committee, we know it is not enough. ZTA must, and will, continue to evaluate every aspect of our sisterhood through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion in order to build an organization where every sister feels a true sense of belonging.
